Pressed in May 2019, our robust extra virgin olive oil is derived of two premium Australian grown varieties of olives: Picual and Coratina. This marriage of two classic varieties develops a balanced olive oil, consisting of - fruitiness (fresh tomato, nutty and herbaceous) bitterness and pungency. Delicious drizzled over fish, vegetables or combined with Mount Zero red wine vinegar to create a classic vinaigrette dressing.
We are thrilled that this oil has once again won a gold medal at the Australian International Olive Awards 2019. Judges comments: Aromas of green tomato, citrus, pine needles and floral notes on nose. Good transfer to palate. A complex creamy oil with medium bitterness and warm building pungency. Balanced and delicious.

All Mount Zero Olive Oil is cold pressed (room temperature) just hours after harvest to maintain premium quality. Similarly, our 100% Australian olive oils come from the first pressing of the olives which is a what the term 'extra virgin' refers to.
