PINK LAKE SALT UPDATE - May 2023

May 2, 2023

It's with regret we announce that, due to the unprecedented levels of rain brought by La Niña weather patterns in Western Victoria over the summer, Mount Zero's Pink Lake Salt will be out of stock for the remainder of 2023.

As you may know, our Pink Lake Salt is a 100% natural, hand-harvested product collected in partnership with the Barenji Gadjin Land Council, and no artificial methods are used to procure salt from the lake. While the rain has had a wonderfully positive effect for traditional owners, wildlife, and farmers in the region (which we're very happy to see!), it does make harvesting salt from the lake impossible until the water level goes down.

We understand that this may be an inconvenience to our customers, and we want to assure you that we are doing everything in our power to make the product available again as soon as possible. Our next earliest harvesting window will be in late summer, 2024, when water levels have subsided enough to make harvesting possible again.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly at [email protected] or contact our sales team.

Cheers,

The Mount Zero team
